About Electrical Engineering

The growing scope of digital and electrical systems has created an increasing demand for experts who are skilled in the design and application of equipment, devices and systems which use electricity electronics and electromagnetism. To meet this demand, the Faculty of Engineering's Department of Electrical Engineering offers a 4 years undergraduate degree program in Electrical Engineering which seeks to provide the students an indepth understanding into the field. The department has strategically developed the electrical engineering curriculum in such a manner that provides the students with a comprehensive learning exposure. With its AICTE approval, the Electrical engineering program guarantees students a high quality academic experience. The department’s unique approach to practical training has resulted in the establishment of various laboratories such as the AC/DC Circuit lab, Electrical Machine Lab and Power Electronics lab amongst others. The department follows a teaching model which places particular focus on providing solutions to global technology concerns.
