About M.Pharm Pharmaceutical Analysis

The Master of Pharmacy in Pharmaceutical Analysis is a postgraduate degree course that deals with analysing sequences of processes to quantify or/ and identify a drug or substance. The Faculty of Pharmacy offers this two year masters degree specialisation which seeks to provide the students with an idepth analytical understanding of the field of pharmacy. The Pharmaceutical Analysis program deals with the process of drug development, analysing the quantity and quality of drugs and its contaminants and elucidating its structure, food and dye analysis and Pharmaceutical Validation. As a way of providing the students with the most enriching practical hands on training, the Faculty has been equipped with state of the art laboratories and research facilities which allow the students to stay engaged throughout their course. Upon pursuing this Pharmaceutical Analysis, students will learn to focus on the methods to identify and quantify potential new drug candidates, determine purity, identify by-products and degradation products in compatibility and stability studies and to determine the drug substance’s fate in the organism. The program is taken under the instruction of highly skilled and trained faculties and experts who go on to provide the students with the most enriching industrial exposure.
