About Bachelors of Social Work (BSW)


With social organisations playing a role of great significance in the socio-economic and political landscape of the nations in the world at large, a bachelor's degree in Social Work plays a prominent role in developing skilled experts who are able to navigate this role. Parul University offers a three-year bachelor's degree in Social Work which is designed to equip students with the relevant skills and necessary abilities which allows them to be effective personnel with an apt understanding of the society and the elements of humanity. The program is designed to develop within the students an understanding of the various social institutions which make up the core of various societies, states and countries. The program goes on to exclusively expose students to the various social problems which affect the livelihood and the welfare of the people on various levels and to prescribe relevant solutions to these problems. The faculty of social work has strategically designed its curriculum to develop within the students a practical hands on training which allows them to effectively navigate the field works in various social and cultural landscapes. The program provides students an exposure to subjects such as family and household marriage in social situations, political systems and legal systems amongst others. The students go on to receive guidance from various social work experts who go on to nurture their understanding of the society and shape their perspective in regards to humanity. Beyond the scope of social work, the program goes on to develop within the students various interpersonal skills and soft skills which play a vital role in the preparation for their future careers in social work.
