Paving the way today, for the leaders of tomorrow, has been the anthem behind PU and Chhatra Sansad youth development centred initiative School of Leadership. The students of PU have been gaining not only an education, but also an exposure to the fundamental aspects of leadership through this well oiled training program. In furtherance of this, the University hosted at its Vadodara campus, Shri Ramdas Athawale, a renowned icon of leadership whose role and contribution has not only led to the growth of the nation, but has directly contributed to the building of communities. During his visit, the Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India shared his insights, while interacting and inspiring the students of PU. 

An avid leader, and a significant political icon who has made strides in the scope of national development and the social upliftment of the marginalised communities for the last 6 years. Ramdas Athawale is a renowned name in Indian politics. He is also the President of the Republican Party of India, which works for the scheduled castes federation initiated by Dr B.R. Ambedkar. Throughout his leadership tenure, he has occupied numerous roles and responsibilities some of which include being Cabinet Minister, Social Welfare and Transport, Employment Guarantee Scheme and Prohibition Propaganda, Government of Maharashtra, Member, Consultative Committee for the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Member, Consultative Committee for the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports amongst many others and through such roles he has been able to make significant contributions, a number of which have made an impact on youth development. 

In his remarks, he shared his experiences with the budding leaders of PU who have been undergoing extensive leadership training under the school of leadership. The session was another of the notable opportunities which the students have had throughout the program. In addition to the leadership training, the program also included the launch of InterNation Leadership Tour  2021. The tour was officially inaugurated by Shri Ramdas Athawale during the course of the program. InterNation has been designed to provide the students with an extensive exposure to the scope of leadership from across the nation. The scope of this program will feature dedicated tours in prominent and significant governmental landmarks. The students will get the opportunity to experience the real-time interworking of government machineries. 

The school of leadership continues providing the students with the much needed development, growth and exposure which PU seeks to cultivate within each and everyone of its students who pass through its campus. The University has been continuously making initiatives for the comprehensive growth and progression of its students by not only giving them an education, but inspiring them through such an exposure to key and significant figures who have made a mark in the scope of both local and national development.
