In addition to the great academic achievements the university has reached, PU has also been seeking to awaken a true spirit and culture of sports and recreation amongst the students.  Recently PU’s hockey team took part in the Hockey (Men’s) Team in an AIU (All India Inter-University) Hockey tournament which took place in Madhya Pradesh. The tournament was organized by Jiwaji University Gwalior from 1st to 6th March 2022. Over the years students from PU have secured qualifications in grand national and international competitions such as the  Asian Men's Volleyball Championship amongst others, the vigorous students have received multiple awards and medals for their top-notch achievements.

PU takes pride in raising champions hence the university has decorated its campus with over 15 outdoor sporting facilities for a diversity of sports such as Badminton, Kabaddi, Volleyball, and many more. The University understands the importance of sports in promoting the student's mental health and physical health hence this dedication has been made. The team was also ranked  “Best 4 amongst West Zone Universities'' and secured a place amongst the best 16 Universities at the All India level.  The university is proud of these students who have once again raised the bar high.
